Complete Terms of Use of the Research Library of Tomsk State University

General Provisions

1. The revised version of the library Terms of Use contains changes concerning library entrance rules, and also the responsibilities of users under the Access Control and Site Security Regulations of Tomsk State University.

2. The Research Library of Tomsk State University (hereinafter “the Library”) is a structural subdivision of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution for Higher Education National Research Tomsk State University (hereinafter “the University”). The Library aims at providing information support of the educational process and research studies for the University by ensuring access to information and up-to-date services, and arranging trainings on using research and educational information resources. Library core activities are library-related, bibliographic, cultural, educational, research (including methodological), and informational. The Library operates in accordance with the TSU Charter and the Provisions for structural subdivision of Tomsk State University – “Research Library of Tomsk State University”.

3. These Terms regulate relations between the Library and its users (individuals and legal entities), the rights, duties, and responsibilities of the parties.

4. The Library provides information and library services to all the categories of users over 14 years of age:  students and staff of educational and research institutions, and other citizens regardless of their gender, ethnicity, education, social status, political beliefs, and religion.

5. Entrance to the Library: for TSU students, postgraduates, and staff members – with a biometric pass or a TSU pass; for general public users – with a library Reader Card.

6. Information and library services for users are provided in Reading Rooms, at the Circulation Desk, and remotely via the website, social networks, email, “Nauchka TSU” mobile app, electronic delivery of documents. The services are regulated by the instructions and methodological documentation of the Library.
